Văn phòng UBND tỉnh Phú Yên cho biết, Bộ Giao thông Vận tải vừa có công văn số 5082/BGTVT-KHĐT trả lời kiến nghị của cử tri tỉnh Phú Yên do Ban Dân nguyện chuyển đến, với nội dung đề nghị bổ sung quy hoạch tuyến đường bộ cao tốc nối Phú Yên với Tây Nguyên vào quy hoạch mạng lưới đường bộ thời kỳ 2021 – 2030, tầm nhìn đến năm 2050.

Theo đó, Bộ Giao thông Vận tải đã cập nhật tuyến đường bộ cao tốc miền Trung – Tây Nguyên, bao gồm tuyến cao tốc Phú Yên – Đắk Lắk vào quy hoạch kết cấu hạ tầng giao thông khu vực. Quy hoạch đang trình Hội đồng thẩm định Quy hoạch xem xét, có ý kiến làm cơ sở để Bộ Giao thông vận tải trình Thủ tướng Chính phủ xem xét, quyết định.

Được biết, thực hiện Luật Quy hoạch số 21/2017/QH14, Bộ Giao thông vận tải đang tổ chức lập Quy hoạch mạng lưới đường bộ thời kỳ 2021 – 2030, tầm nhìn đến năm 2050.

Trong quá trình lập quy hoạch, Bộ Giao thông Vận tải đã chỉ đạo các đơn vị phối hợp với địa phương để định hướng phát triển, đồng bộ kết cấu hạ tầng giao thông giữa tỉnh Phú Yên với khu vực Nam Trung Bộ và Tây Nguyên.

Đồng thời, đã cập nhật tuyến đường bộ cao tốc khu vực miền Trung – Tây Nguyên, bao gồm 220km tuyến cao tốc Phú Yên – Đắk Lắk vào quy hoạch này.

Theo Quy hoạch xây dựng vùng Nam Phú Yên – Bắc Khánh Hòa đến năm 2025 được Thủ tướng Chính phủ phê duyệt, tại Quyết định số 127/QĐ-TTg ngày 2/2/2012, trong đó, xác định rõ đây là vùng kinh tế tổng hợp đóng vai trò động lực của khu vực duyên hải Nam Trung Bộ, có tiềm năng lớn về phát triển kinh tế biển, là cửa ngõ giao thông về đường bộ, đường thủy và hàng không của khu vực duyên hải Nam Trung Bộ và Tây Nguyên và có ý nghĩa đặc biệt quan trọng về quốc phòng an ninh của quốc gia.

Tuyến cao tốc nối Phú Yên với Tây Nguyên dài 220 km sẽ nối từ cảng nước sâu Bãi Gốc, tỉnh Phú Yên qua TP. Buôn Ma Thuột, tỉnh Đắk Lắk và kết thúc tại cửa khẩu Đắk Ruê.

Tuyến đường đi qua vùng đất đai rộng lớn có nhiều tiềm năng, nằm trong tam giác phát triển kinh tế vùng Đông Bắc Campuchia, Tây Nguyên, vùng Nam Trung bộ Việt Nam. Đây cũng tuyến giao thông kết nối với các quốc lộ chính yếu, quốc lộ có tính chất liên vùng trong khu vực như đường ven biển, quốc lộ 29, quốc lộ 1, đường bộ cao tốc Bắc – Nam phía Đông, đường Đông Trường Sơn, đường Hồ Chí Minh.
